FAQ
What is CBD?
CBD stands for Cannabidiol, a major cannabinoid found in cannabis plants. Unlike its more famous sibling THC, CBD is non-intoxicating and is known to reduce anxiety, stress, inflammation and support balance in our endocannabinoid system (ECS).
What is ECS?
Our endocannabinoid system impacts a number of bodily functions, as it helps regulate stress, hormones, memory, appetite and metabolism, immune responses and many more. Our body naturally has cannabinoid receptors, and CBD promotes homeostasis by stimulating our ECS.
What are the benefits of CBD?
Historically, the benefits of cannabis and CBD in particular have been difficult to fund and study given its classification. While there is always more research that could be done, studies and anecdotal evidence cite the following potential benefits:
- Eases pain
- Anti-inflammatory
- Reduces blood sugar
- Eases nausea
- Reduces nerve damage
- Stops bacteria growth
- Stimulates bone growth
- Decreases cancer spread
- Anxiety and stress relief
- Antipsychotic
- Suppresses muscle spasms
- Digestive aid
- Supports immune system
- Prevents degenerative impacts of aging
What am I supposed to feel?
Cooking has been linked to emotional well being and building social relationships. At Potli, our ingredients are designed to help you live the fullest potential of your life. While everyone’s response to CBD is different, the point is not to immediately wonder if it’s working! The ingredients are working to incrementally benefit your health, which addresses the root cause of your ailments. Whatever you may feel after consuming Potli (the common side effect is feeling relaxed and centered) is what your body has been lacking. And if you don’t feel any psychoactive effects at all this is completely and absolutely normal too! It just means you’re already balanced and the CBD is only enhancing your current state of mind. Use Potli’s ingredients as a healthy living instrument with strong cumulative effects over time.
Can I cook with it?
Yes you can! We recommend cooking with light to medium heat. CBD can be heated up to 350 degrees fahrenheit before degradation. We recommend adding our ingredients soon before serving to preserve both the CBD and the raw benefits of the ingredients themselves. Baking for a prolonged period of time is fine- the internal temperature of baked goods is usually less than the designated baking temperature!

We generally recommend 10mg as a standard dose, but feel free to consume as much as you normally eat with these ingredients. The maximum an average human can process in a day is up to 200mg of CBD depending on your bodyweight.
When should I take it?
Anywhere, anytime! Potli’s ingredients are here to help you hack your health. Since CBD helps promote homeostasis in our bodies, its functions can serve different needs throughout the day. And if you’re feeling under the weather, it’s time to double down. We love taking a shot of our ACV in the morning to help us tackle the stress of morning commutes or email inboxes or drizzling our EVOO over our lunches to decrease inflammation and keep afternoon slumps at bay. One of our most popular uses is our honey in herbal tea in the evenings to help us unwind and decompress.
