This is the juiciest ham we’ve ever tasted- seriously. The whiskey honey glaze is sweet, a little spicy, and adds an incredibly depth of flavor to a holiday classic.

Honey Glazed Ham
Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups rye whiskey (bourbon or other whiskey will do, too)

3/4 cup Potli honey 1/4 cup molasses (mildflavored, light)

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper

Smoked bone-in ham (cured, skin removed if needed)

Vegetables to surround the ham- we used red onions and pearl onions. Potatoes and green beans are an excellent choice, as well
Directions:

Combine whiskey, honey, red pepper flakes, and ground black pepper in a saucepan and simmer for 20 minutes to reduce

Place ham and veggies in a pan and cover with foil. Place in an oven for until ham has an internal temperature of 120 degrees (350 degrees for about 20 minutes)

Cut a cross hatch pattern over ham (about 3/4 inch deep) and brush or pour glaze on top, coating any excess glaze on vegetables as desired

Place the ham in the oven for another 10 minutes

Serve warm!
